Oil Sands conference a tremendous success!

We’re back from the Oil Sands Trade Show and Conference! Two wonderful days of learning and networking with visionaries and leaders from the oil sands industry. The HammerTek team was on the expo floor showcasing the Smart Elbow^® deflection elbow, networking with other suppliers and vendors from both the United States and Canada and, most importantly, learning about some of the critical issues facing this industry in the coming years.

We certainly enjoyed the opportunity to meet industry peers and see how they were approaching the challenges laid out before them. One of the highlights was touring one of Suncor Energy’s sites. As a company, Suncor Energy demonstrates incredible commitment toward sustainable and ecologically sound land reclamation processes. They invest in innovation and are developing new technologies, enabling them to reclaim tailing ponds and transform them into more diverse ecosystems with greater biodiversity.

Suncor Energy has shown that oil sands mining and good land management practices can coexist.

A conference of this caliber also afforded us the opportunity to network with attendees at the Big Party. We enjoyed a live musical performance from award-winning Canadian country artist Jake Mathews — while dining on some excellent cold-water lobster. Thank you to the conference organizers for such a wonderful evening of conversation, networking and fun!

We also wanted to express our thanks to everyone who contributed their time, talents and energy towards making the Oil Sands Trade Show and Conference such a success — and that includes all of you who stopped at the booth, said hello, and learned more about the technology and design behind the Smart Elbow deflection elbow. This was the HammerTek team’s first major trade show, and it certainly won’t be our last.
